Hank – Melbourne

Hank is a loveable sweetheart who loves going out for his two daily walks but like most greyhounds he spends the in between times trying to make himself fit in the smallest spaces possible and having a snooze. Hank loves being near humans and loves to do everything close by, even when sleeping and having quiet time. He enjoys playing with toys and loves to be pampered with pats or a gentle brush of his fur.

Hank is still learning about other dogs and has been unsure of them when meeting them in the street, and has displayed a range of feelings, from backing up in fear, sniffing and not caring to giving a bit of a growl. Hank would benefit from forever humans who are aware of his needs and are willing to carefully introduce him to other dogs.

Hank spends half of his day outside laying in the sun, on an outdoor couch or in his bed in the laundry with outdoor access. In his new home, he has learnt how to use the stairs and has respected the ‘no weeing inside’ rule. Hank understands ‘no’ and is learning ‘wait’, particularly at feeding times, when he can become a bit impatient.

Hank has a cheeky little personality and knows he is not allowed on the couch or the bed – but this doesn’t stop him from trying his luck! He responds well to a clap or his name when he is caught. He has mastered the art of the bed fail and is loving his life as a pet.

Hank is very well behaved in the car - happy to jump straight into the backseat or with assistance into the back. He loves sticking his head out the window or is happy napping throughout the journey.

Hank loves his humans but would prefer a quiet home where he can have you all to himself.
