Kamala – Melbourne

Kamala is a gorgeous black beauty, curious, clever and ready for cuddles. Kamala’s tail has a life of its own – it does happy helicopter spins and even wags whilst Kamala is getting her beauty sleep! You’ll often find it wagging enthusiastically for play time, dinner or walkies.

Kamala is best suited to a quiet suburban or rural household, away from the hustle and bustle of the city – whilst Kamala is very people-oriented, she’s not a fan of city-life or street noise. She’d much prefer a backyard, a place to sunbake and do zoomies! Whilst she walks well on a leash, Kamala can get overwhelmed by external noises, so Kamala will need a confident handler who can continue to be her cheerleader when out walking.

The perfect house guest, Kalama is responsive to being redirected, and toilet trained. During her time as a Gumtree Greys foster, she’s also learnt the command ‘stay’ and has mastered the internal house stairs. She’s still got some work to do on building confidence walking down external stairs. Kamala adores car-rides and travels well.

Kamala is a classic shadow-hound and will often follow you from room to room to supervise what you’re doing. She’s extremely curious and likes to be part of your day-to-day activities. We suspect she may be a water baby in disguise, as she’ll often join her foster folk in the bathroom and lie down in the shower! She is looking for someone who is home more often than not.

Kamala is a little bowerbird and you’ll often find her with a collection of assorted household items. Footwear, empty coffee mugs or the bathmat is fair game if left out for her to snatch. She’s a sweetheart who will make you laugh! She’s partial to a booty-rub, and once when stretching – she let out a loud fart and got a fright!

Kamala is the perfect companion who will warm your heart with her funny antics.

No cat or small dog applications please.
