Quirky and cute
Large Female Greyhound Dog
Maddy hopes that her new family loves her – quirks and all! Maddy has found the transition from the racing industry a challenge but is making progress every day, already conquering a number of fears such as kettles, dishwasher and hairdryers. But the washing machine is a battle that’s yet to be won. Her anxieties settling more every day. She loves to spend time with humans and finds them a relaxing presence who help her sleep. In fact, she loves humans so much that she would love to go to a home with an owner who is around a lot to keep her company.
Despite her fears and trepidation, the progress Maddy has made in a short time shows she will continue to grow with ongoing love, care and patience. It can take some time to reverse the impact of the racing industry, but Maddy is quickly proving that she will be able to bounce back. What she lacks in confidence she makes up for in personality. She’s a kooky little thing who simply adores affection and snuggles. She’s very playful and will spend hours sniffing out treats in a Kong or breaking down bits of cardboard She loves to roach and will find every opportunity possible to hang out with her humans.
Maddy wakes up every morning full of beans and raring to go for her walk. Two 20-minute walks a day should be enough if you have a decent sized yard for her to burn off some extra energy. She finds the dog park a bit overwhelming and will take some training and patience to be comfortable meeting strange dogs.
