An excellent co-pilot
It is hard to be a small girl in a big world, and with great patience from her foster carers this little speckled egg has shown new confidence on her walks. Wafer is looking for patient adoptive humans who will help consolidate her confidence in the outside world. Wafer will show you her great big goofy personality once she’s settled in at home. Despite her diminutive size she will need a space big enough to get her daily zoomies in.
Wafer is currently living with a female greyhound cross, and draws a lot of confidence being able to walk with another dog. While she can be a little overwhelmed by crowds of people, busy streets, and kids on scooters, Wafer just adores a drive – windows down and laying in the backseat, bliss! An excellent co-pilot on your errands.
Despite being a cautious noodle with the outside world, Wafer has no problems with wild weather – the storms and winds Melbourne has to offer have not fazed her in the slightest and she’s happy to snooze through anything. She’s also very brave home alone, albeit a little cheeky. With her canine foster sibling for company and the dog door to the yard, she can easily do a work day without her people, but it is best to hide any “toy adjacent” items (remotes, candles, books) lest they be nibbled in the curious explorations of one little lady. Wafer LOVES cardboard so will be very happy with a stash of her own recycling to keep her busy, she enjoys puzzle toys too, and even makes up her own games with her plushies throwing them around for herself.
Wafer’s foster carer said that their favourite thing about her was “how she draws you in. I spend an alarming amount of time just staring into her eyes… I had friends over for dinner recently and while she was asleep on the couch with some toys, I noticed none of us were talking we were just staring at her.” we know that her forever home will feel the same way, and it will be a very lucky family indeed who get to stare at this gorgeous face for years to come!
