If you’re looking for the kind of dog who will have strangers stopping you in the street to comment on how beautiful, and well behaved, your dog is - then Josie is your girl. Not content to be just a pretty face, this gorgeous girl has the most beautiful soft and gentle temperament, and would make a wonderful addition to a quiet adult home.
Currently living in an apartment, Josie has learned to take many things in stride from the hustle and bustle of walks around Brunswick to waiting patiently in line at the coffee shop and being a good host to house guests. She is still not a big fan of the TV, and prefers to take herself off to nap in another room if you’re watching something noisy - but over time she’s become more curious and will occasionally do a drive by to check out what is happening.
A bit of an exercise queen, Josie prefers two big walks (1+ hour each) a day. She confidently struts out and will happily greet humans and dogs of all sizes, but can be a bit “spatially challenged” on a walk, so needs a human who doesn’t mind watching out for her occasional zig-zags! She otherwise doesn’t pull or try to chase anything, and if guided will walk tucked into your side to navigate busy areas. In a home with a yard, or more enrichment activities on offer, Josie might be able to reduce the length of her walks - but she would prefer a more active home for her energy levels.
With no issues around her things being handled, and a love of sharing her resting spaces for a snuggle, Josie is a wonderful apartment companion and very much enjoys her set routines with her humans - predicting the rhythm of her day keeps her very happy, she knows when it’s food time or walkies, and when it’s time to rest for the day. She will thrive in a home where her people like to keep to a schedule just like she does.
A big lover of her people, Josie could do the occasional day home alone, but she really would prefer if you were around more often than not - or if she was welcome to accompany you to work. She thrives on company and enjoys passing her day with a human or two to snootervise. With her sweet nature and even sweeter face, once she joins your home you’ll find it impossible to leave her behind too!
