Nina is a delight. She has achieved so much in foster care. A very timid girl on arrival in foster care she spent the first two days in the yard, refusing to come into her new home. Thankfully the weather was not too warm and she had shelter and would come inside to eat. Her foster brother was also very sweet and would sit outside with her. Next she would venture into the house but only the back room. She was very cautious with any approaches from her foster carer but her love of food helped. Over time we realised she was scared of polished floorboards so we put rubber mats along the hallway. It was a revelation as she now could confidently reach every corner of the house. Now she has her confidence she we can dispense with the rubber matting. She now even dances in excitement for her walks and dinner. The best performance is when you get home from work.

Nina is also relaxing and learning to enjoy the human contact in her foster home. With patience she is comfortable and now seeks out human affection and cuddles, She loves her pats, tickles and scratches and sharing the couch.

Nina, absolutely loves her two daily walks. She is excited and delighted to set out on her local walks. She also loves excursions in the car and will happily bounce into the back seat ready for her adventure. She usually settles quickly, napping until she reaches her destination.

Nina is in foster care with a slightly younger male grey who she gets along with very well. They are both independent and have lots of time in separate parts of the house and yard. We feel Nina will be fine as an only dog or with a suitable canine companion.

On her walks Nina is enthusiastic and confident. She is a little reserved and gentle meeting new dogs of all shapes and sizes. Her favourite is meeting with neighbourhood greys she knows. She has never had a cross word for any dog she has met.

Nina will nap all day while her foster carer is at work. She may rotate dog beds with her foster brother. I’m not sure she realises that her foster carer can check the wifi cameras and knows when she sneaks a nap on the human bed. Sprung !

As a senior, Nina is very fit and healthy. She had some recent dental work but no concerns. She did have a fractured leg due to a racing injury but is 100% recovered without lameness.

Nina is a charming, easy going lady. Don’t let that adorable frosty face deceive you, she is ready to entertain you with her youthful play and dance.

Nina, an elegant blue girl with a frosty mature face but a young dancing spirit.
