Richie is a sweet handsome pup with a luxurious soft black coat and gentle eyes. He has elegant white points on his toes and tail. Richie has the most gentle demeanour but also likes to party.
Little Richard is blossoming in foster care. He has had his challenges as he was initially very wary of strange humans including his foster carer. With patience (and cheese) Richie has gradually learnt to trust his foster carer. Now they are great mates and he has enjoyed the revelation that humans can offer pats and cuddles…. as well as food.
In his foster home Richie enjoys the company of a male and female grey. He loves to keep up with the female of a similar age and join her in play and zoomies. All three get along well and enjoy their play time but also enjoy their quiet times when their foster carer is at work. All three snooze the entire time they are home alone but it’s party time when Dad gets home. Richie enjoys the shenanigans running up and down the hallway with his foster sister. Then they each try to maximise their share of cuddle time with Dad.
Richie is keen to get out on his twice daily walks, before and after work. He walks well on lead and is a brave boy managing the busy traffic and activity in his neighbourhood. Every day he gets more bouncy, relaxed and curious on his walks. He’s even brave enough to say hello to gentle humans who stop to chat. Richie would prefer to only say hello to calmer dogs and will keep some distance from anything yappy or jumpy.
Richie travels well in the car but currently needs some training to jump in all by himself. He would like some adventures to quiet places like a park or visiting Grandma but Richie may take some time to be ready to visit busy places like the pub.
Richie is a bright happy boy who will reward a patient human able to give him time to adjust and trust. Then the party begins with games, toys and cuddles. Richie has not had much time home alone so may take some time to adjust to being an only dog unless his humans are around most of the time.
