Pip by name, Pipsqueak by nature, this lovely little pocket rocket is ready to take off into your heart and your home!
With her striking socks and gloves (a lady never leaves home without them) and her sleek black coat, Pip is a showstopper. Add in her elegant airs and perfected “puppy dog eye” look, and you’ll fast find yourself charmed into offering an ear rub or a scritch as she quietly positions herself in the best spot for commanding attention. It’s always recommended to take regular breaks from what you are doing to offer affection to a greyhound - an excellent stress reliever (it’s science, we promise).
Inside the house, Pip is a dynamo! She gets the sillies in the morning and bounces around full of joy - although she’s a zoomies queen she’s still figuring out what the heck toys are for, but she’s a fiend for an abandoned sock. You needn’t worry though, as she is very gentle with these treasures and would never dream of doing them any harm.
Outside of the house, things can get a bit overwhelming for a little lady (traffic, lots of strange people, and loud noises can spook her). In foster care, Pip’s confidence has come leaps and bounds, but she’s not really going to be a pub date/busy location girlie, preferring to walk familiar routes to quiet parks. She is wonderful on lead and doesn’t pull even if she is feeling nervous, she may accidentally bump into you while following a good sniff though! Happy to completely ignore dogs of other breeds, and even cats(!), when out for a walk - Pip does adore the company of other greyhounds, and is much braver when she has a fellow snoot by her side out in the big world. Although she is currently an “only child”, we think she would really enjoy joining a home with a confident greyhound to show her the ropes.
Pip’s affectionate and gentle nature is a delight, and a home with the patience to let her take things at her own pace will be richly rewarded with all the love she has to give. She’s the perfect little package, she just needs time to open up and show you everything she had to offer.
