Don’t let her sugar face fool you, Annie has the countenance of a hound twice her age and the energy levels of a wee-pup!
With her fabulous ear hats and signature cheeky grin, this sweet and sassy girl has amassed quite a collection of fans within the GG-family during her time in foster care. To meet Annie, is to fall head over heels with Annie! She is such a fun loving girl with a heart of gold.
At her tender age, what was initially thought to be urinary incontinence as she settled into our program, turned into a shock diagnosis of renal disease. Throughout her treatment and clinic visits, Annie has maintained a joie de vivre that has lifted the spirits of our whole team, and any human lucky enough to meet her. From her big happy hops on the lead to the gentle kisses she bestows, she is just so joyful to be around.
Taking her membership of the “Bad Beans Club” in stride, this girl won’t let a couple of poorly working kidneys hold her down. She tucks into her prescription diet food and loves her sweet potato crisps and fresh blueberries! She is an energetic and bouncy bean, and despite her clinical diagnosis she is otherwise quite healthy.
Although she isn’t fussed by home alone time, Annie just adores her people, and would really love if you had a schedule where she could be included (WFH snootervisor is a role she enjoys, but would also happily come along to the office to appoint herself Chief of Smooches). Whatever you are getting up to, she is 100% down to be involved. Having lived both as a solo dog, and with other greyhounds, this easy going girl could either be a wonderful sister to your resident canine, or your spoiled only child! If placed alone she would appreciate regular socialising with other medium to large dogs.
With her recent tests showing a stabilising in her condition thanks to dietary intervention and treatment, Annie is now ready to consider matches for a forever home. We hope that her perfect people will look past her condition and see just how much love and happiness this gorgeous girl has to give.

GUMTREE GREYS ADOPTION PROCESS:
Step one submit our online application form, you can nominate a specific dog or express your interest generally
Step two a Coordinator will touch base via email to set up a phone call so we can get to know you a little better, and help to find your pawfect match
Step three once we have made a match we’ll reach out with the details, and to set up a meet and greet
Step four pending a successful meet, we will touch base via email with our Adoption Guide, any relevant handover notes, and a request to finalise payment of the adoption fee ($350) and sign our trial agreement
Step five start your two week adoption trial! On handover day we will drop off your precious cargo and their gear (collar, Gumtree Greys ID tag, lead, food, coat, and toy), you will also receive an email inviting you to ‘Petcademy’ (Gumtree Greys provides our adopters access to unlimited messaging with certified behaviour professionals and a library of over 100 hours of video content for training advice). During the trial period your Coordinator will touch base to see how things are progressing, and assist with any settling in issues. At the end of two weeks if the trial is successful you will sign your adoption agreement and we will complete the paperwork to transfer your dog into your name via the GRV Microchip Registry.
In the unlikely event a trial is not successful, we take the dog back into care and will refund your adoption feeStep six lifetime support and community access.
