Rocco is still a pup so full of beans and looking for games to play. He is a joyous happy lad keen to engage with his humans and join in the fun. He loves the attention of humans on his walks and visits and he gets plenty of admirers with his puppy looks, soft floppy ears, plush coat, and cute snaggle tooth grin. In his foster home they even need to cover mirrors as he is alarmed to see that he needs to compete with another devilishly handsome gentleman. Outrageous!
In between his naps for the day, Rocco is systematic in playing with his toys, preferring to rotate through them and carefully select a new victim (er, playmate) with each session. He can also be a magpie with shoes; fancying himself a purveyor of human enrichment games, in the morning you might find yourself involved in a hunt for where your left shoe has been relocated to. The best part of the game for Rocco is to go with you from room to room in the search, tail wagging in delight at his own mischief.
Rocco is in foster care with a male and female greyhound. He is happy with his position as the silly pup in this crew, and although he can be a bit boisterous, he always listens to their requests for space and calm. We feel Rocco would do well with another younger large breed dog in his forever home who enjoys play, he’s not quite ready to settle down into the couch potato ways and could easily overwhelm a more laid back and relaxed greyhound.
With the company of other dogs, Rocco is a cool cucumber when left home alone. He could be an only dog but would need humans around more often than not as he is unused to being on his own.
Rocco loves his walks but can be a little startled by loud, unexpected noises. He much prefers hopping into the car to drive to a quiet local park or green space as opposed to strutting busy streets. Rocco can also be a bit boisterous on the lead towards small dogs, which leads to them reacting to him - they are best avoided while he continues to work on his manners.
Our Rocco is a sweet and loving boy who is looking for an active home with the patience to entertain him and then enjoy his evolution into a demure gentleman in the coming years.
